County Clerk Office Closing 05-02-2026
The Fentress County Clerks office will be CLOSED Saturday May 2nd, 2026 for the All Things Tennessee Festival. We will reopen Monday at 8:00 a.m. If you need to renew during a closure, you can take your registration to Swaffords IGA in Clarkrange and renew at our kiosk with a debit or credit card. You must live in Fentress county and be within 90 days of renewal.
Notary Applications 05-11-2026
The Fentress County Clerk’s Office is currently accepting Notary Applications to be presented at the May 11th, 2026 County Commission Meeting. The deadline for these applications is Friday, May 8th at noon. If you have any questions pertaining to the Notary Application process, please contact the Fentress County Clerk’s Office. Amanda A. Fentress County Commission Meeting 05-11-2026
The Fentress County Commission will be meeting on Monday May 11th, 2026, at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Historic Fentress County Courthouse in the courtroom. A copy of the Fentress County Commission AGENDA will be available on the Friday before the Monday Meeting in the County Executive’s Office.

The Fentress County Budget Committee will be meeting on Monday May 04, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Historic Fentress County Courthouse in the ECD conference room. Topic of discussion is the 2026-2027 budget.
Industrial Development Board Meeting 05-01-2026
The Fentress County ID Board will be meeting on Friday May 01, 2026, at 8:00 AM. The meeting will be held at the Historic Fentress County Courthouse in the ECD conference room. Regular monthly meeting.
Regional Planning Commission 5-15-2026
The Fentress County Regional Planning Commission will have a public hearing scheduled for Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Fentress County Courthouse for the purpose of receiving public comment regarding the following:
The addition of Old Highway 28, Old Wright Road and North Old Wright Road to the county road list.
