NOTICE UNDER THE AM RICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT

in aeeordanee with the requirements of Title 11 of the Amerieans with Disabilities Aet of
1990 ("ADA"), Fentress County will not diseriminate against qualified individuais with disabilities on the basis of disability in its serviees, programs, or aetivities.

Employment: Fentress County does not diseriminate on the basis of disability in its hiring or employment praetiees and eomplies with all regulations promulgated by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission under Title l of the ADA.

Effective Communication: Fentress County will generally, upon request, provide appropriate aids and serviees leading to effeetive eommunication for qualified persons with disabilities so they ean participate equally in Fentress County programs, serviees, and aetivities, including qualified sign language interpreters, doeuments in Braille, and other ways of making information and eommunications aeeessible to people who have speeeh, hearing, or vision impairments.

Modifications to Polici es and Procedures: Fentress County will make all reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy all of its programs, serviees, and activities. For example, individu als with serviee anim als are weleomed in Fentress Countyoffiees, even where pets are generally prohibited.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or serviee for effeetive communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, serviee, or activity of Fentress County should contaet the offiee of Human Resources as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.
The ADA does not require Fentress County to take any aetion that would fundamentally alter the nature of its programs or serviees, or impose an undue financial or administrative burden.

Fentress County will not place a sureharge on a partieular individual with a disability or any group of individuals with disabilities to cover the eost of providing a uxiliary aids/serviees or reasonable modifieations of poliey, sueh as retrieving items from locations that are open to the publie but are not aeeessibie to persons who use wheelchairs.
