FAQ

A: The lobby is open 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. Closed on Federal Holidays. There is a button outside the lobby door that can be used during closed hours to get assistance.

Visitation Hours
Monday & Wednesday | 8:15 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Our door opens at 8:00 a.m.

• Appointments are made on a first-come, first-served basis and may be scheduled either by phone or in person.

• Inmates may receive visits after they have been incarcerated for seven (7) days following booking.

• When scheduling a visit, you must provide the names of all visitors who will be attending (up to four visitors total).

• If you are unable to attend your scheduled visit, please call to cancel. Failure to appear or cancel your appointment will require you to appear in person to schedule future visitation appointments.

• Children ages 17 and under may visit ONLY with a registered adult family member. No registration is required for minors. Please keep small children quiet or take them to the lobby if necessary so as not to interfere with other visitors.

• Visitation appointments are 30 minutes in length.

PHONE & COMMISSARY INFORMATION

IMPORTANT NOTE

Phone services and commissary accounts are separate. Depositing money into an inmate’s commissary account will NOT add funds to their phone account.

Phone Services

Phone services are provided through Combined Public Communications (CPC).

To add funds to an inmate’s phone account:

• Call 1-877-998-5678
• Visit www.inmatesales.com

Please note: Once funds have been added to an inmate’s phone account, the inmate may make outgoing calls only. Incoming calls are not permitted.

Commissary Services

There are three ways to add money to an inmate’s commissary account:

• Use the kiosk located in the lobby (available Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; a valid driver’s license or photo ID is required)
• Call 1-866-345-1884
• Visit www.accesscorrections.com and search for Fentress County

When making a commissary deposit, you will need the inmate’s name.

Approved Clothing Items

Inmates may receive the following items:

• Three (3) plain white T-shirts (no pockets)
• Three (3) white underwear garments (boxers or briefs)
• Three (3) pairs of plain white socks
• One (1) set of white or off-white thermal underwear

All items must be new, unopened, and remain in their original packaging. Inmates may receive new clothing items every three (3) months.

In addition to the items listed above, female inmates may receive:

• Two (2) sports bras with no wires, hooks, metal, or other hard components

INMATE CLOTHING AND PERSONAL ITEM DROP-OFF POLICY

When bringing approved items for an inmate, all items must be new, unopened, and in their original packaging. If a package contains more than the approved quantity listed below, any excess items will be returned.

Approved items include:

• Three (3) plain white T-shirts (no pockets)
• Three (3) pairs of plain white socks
• Three (3) pairs of white underwear (boxers or briefs)
• One (1) set of white or off-white thermal underwear

All approved items must be delivered at one time and may only be accepted once during the inmate’s incarceration period as permitted by facility policy.

A valid photo ID is required, and you must provide a signature when dropping off items.

All items will be searched before being accepted. Please remain at the facility until the search has been completed. If any contraband or unauthorized items are discovered, the matter may be referred for criminal prosecution.

A: We do not do reports over the phone. There are exceptions in certain situations.

A: We do not give out personal information on any employee with the Sheriff’s Office.

A: We do not give out warrant/summons/civil paper information over the phone. If one is wanting information about a possible warrant/summons/civil paper they can come to the Sheriffs Office and ask if they have a warrant/Summons/Civil paper.

A: We do not do stolen narcotic medication reports

A: Go to iWebVisit.com and create an account, then follow the directions to schedule a visit.

Requirements:

Android device or a laptop/desktop computer

Webcam, mic, speakers

Strong, stable internet signal (we highly recommend residential Wi-Fi)

Basic Rules and Requirements:

  • All visitors must be prepared to show a state-issued ID upon arrival at the jail for onsite visits and must also be prepared to present ID to the camera if requested to do so for remote visits.
  • Visitors must be at least 18 years old to conduct visits without an adult present.
  • The scheduled visit is for the designated inmate ONLY. If other inmates participate in the visit, it will be terminated.
  • The use or display of illegal drugs and/or drug paraphernalia will result in the visit being terminated.
  • Do not operate a motor vehicle while conducting a remote visit.
  • All remote visitors must be in clear view of the camera.
  • For security purposes you may not stream, record, or take screenshots of video visits.
  • Any nudity, sexual behavior, and/or displaying inappropriate images/video will result in visit termination and the account may be blocked.
  • The dress code is the same for both remote and onsite visits:
    • No revealing and/or see-through clothing
    • No tank tops, camisoles, cut-off shirts, or sports bras – you must wear a shirt that covers your shoulders and entire torso
    • No skirts/shorts above mid-thigh
    • No clothing that displays obscene or offensive images/words
  • The success of your remote visit is dependent on your equipment and speed. Unsuccessful visits due to your equipment/speed will not be credited. Contact iWebVisit at 775-434-8748 for assistance with testing.
